Michelle Coe is the President and Senior Creative Director of BlueSkyPhoenix LLC, a brand and marketing strategy and technology solutions firm. With more than 25 years of experience, she consults with public and private sector clients to create organizational growth and resiliency strategies, build strong brands, and craft effective, results-driven marketing strategies. Her experiences in the business, government and nonprofit sectors give her an understanding of the people, processes and workflows that generate greater efficiencies. These insights enable her to offer a unique perspective, facilitating positive outcomes to a wide variety of challenges. With experience in business, brand & marketing strategy, design, project management, event coordination and instruction, Michelle easily relates and adapts to meet the individual needs of each of her clients. Over the last decade, BlueSkyPhoenix has built more than 120 websites, designed 80+ brands, and has consulted with countless businesses, nonprofits, and communities on the topics of marketing, branding, and technology solutions for a wide variety of challenges.

Passionate about entrepreneurship and the role economic development plays in the success of small business, Michelle currently serves as immediate past Chair of the Fauquier Chamber, and served as Chair of the Fauquier Chamber Micro Enterprise Council, which she founded in 2018. She and her council organized the very successful Micro Enterprise Symposium held in October each year until 2020. Other milestones of note during her tenure as Council Chair include the development of the Fauquier County Small Business Resource Guide and active participation in leveraging collaboration opportunities between public and private sector organizations for the benefit of local and regional business. She speaks regionally on entrepreneurship, branding, marketing, and technology solutions for business.

Michelle also served as Vice President of the ClassicPress Initiative, a nonprofit providing funding and oversight of the ClassicPress project, a community-led alternative to WordPress. She is a Founding and Management Committee member and her efforts were key in forming the organizational structure that currently governs the ClassicPress project, setting the tone of the internal and external messaging, and creating and fostering the ClassicPress Team culture, including establishing a conflict resolution process. As the organization matures, she continues to participate in the ClassicPress Initiative and collaborates with directors and team leads to maintain the integrity and progress of the ClassicPress project.

As part of her commitment to United States Veterans, Michelle serves as Vice Chair of Community Relations for the Quantico/Belvoir Regional Business Alliance. Among other duties, she will be assisting in events management, setting the direction of their evolving brand, and redesigning their website.

BlueSkyPhoenix was selected as recipient of the 2016 Greater Warrenton Chamber of Commerce “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, and was a finalist for the 2018 Fauquier Chamber “Small Business of the Year” award. Michelle was a finalist for the 2021 Fauquier Chamber “Business Person of the Year” Award. Michelle holds a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University.
